Coliving with us in Sintra

4 years ago, during Covid we started this project by accident. We strived to find people with similar interests, looking for a more sustainable and regenerative lifestyle while implementing permaculture design principles, and we liked it.
Our House is a 100-year-old house that belonged to our ancestors. It was abandoned and we decided to become the new stewards committed to bringing life back to it.
Our mission is:
- To regenerate the soil
- Increase biodiversity on Site
- Become 80% energy independent
We aim to finance our project by hosting Remote workers who want to learn and be part of our mission while surfing, farming, and having fun together.
Located in the center of a small village called Tojeira, between Sintra and Ericeira, where peace meets a vibrant tourist surf destination.

Our remote working community
We often go surfing together, explore hidden hiking trails, and enjoy yoga and breathwork sessions. Whether it's a spontaneous road trip or a deep conversation by the fire, meaningful connections happen effortlessly.
Our community is diverse, attracting remote workers, entrepreneurs, creatives, and wellness enthusiasts from all over the world. Most guests stay for a few weeks to a couple of months, seeking both focus and adventure.
We communicate through a guest WhatsApp group to share plans, coordinate activities, and support one another. While we are hands-on hosts, our space also allows for independence and deep work. Those looking for additional networking opportunities can explore nearby coworking spaces.
Our home is designed for remote workers and digital nomads, blending productivity with an immersive nature experience. Whether you're here to work, surf, or simply recharge, you’ll find your flow at Vivenda Felicidade.

Our Coworking Space
While most of our guests are digital nomads or remote workers, we also welcome creatives, entrepreneurs, and those seeking a balance between work and well-being. We encourage a respectful work environment, with quiet hours starting at 10 PM on weekdays to maintain focus and relaxation.
For those needing additional inspiration, we have social and private workspaces to accommodate different work styles. While we don't have a dedicated creative studio yet, we provide spaces for brainstorming, collaboration, and deep work.
Power outages are rare, but we are working toward full energy independence by 2030. Additionally, coworking spaces and work-friendly cafés are within walking distance for those who enjoy a change of scenery.
Whether you're looking for a focused work retreat or a balanced work-play lifestyle, Vivenda Felicidade offers the ideal setting to stay productive while staying connected to nature and community.

The Surf near Sintra, Portugal
For more experienced surfers, Ericeira—Portugal’s first World Surfing Reserve—is just 20 minutes away, featuring a variety of beach and point breaks suited for intermediate and advanced surfers. Whether you prefer fast barrels or long, cruisy rides, the coastline here has it all.
Why should you be excited?
The region boasts a mix of sand, reef, and point breaks, meaning you can surf in different conditions and push your progression. Plus, the local surf community is welcoming, and you'll often find great post-surf vibes at nearby cafés.
How do you get to the surf?
The best way to reach the surf is by car, and we help coordinate rides to the best spots depending on the day's conditions.
Can you take lessons or rent equipment?
Yes! Chico, who grew up surfing in the area and knows the community well, is a certified ASI surf instructor and offers lessons upon request. You can also rent surfboards and wetsuits directly from the house or get recommendations for the best local surf schools.
Do all guests surf?
Not at all! While many guests come for the waves, others simply enjoy the laid-back beach lifestyle, nature, and community vibe. Whether you're paddling out or just soaking in the sunsets, there's something here for everyone.

Beautiful, serene and welcoming place! Absolutely worth to visit and stay for a while if you like to learn about sustainable farming and be part of a nice community. Very close to beautiful beaches where you can surf, relax and eat at the best restaurants - just ask the host where to go and he’ll share the best places. Last but not least: nice community diners and bonfire with people from everywhere!
