Our remote working community
We welcome a mix of international travellers, surfers, solo adventurers, couples, remote workers, freelancers and creatives, all coming together to enjoy the ocean and the relaxed lifestyle of Ericeira.
It's easy to meet people here — whether through group surf sessions and yoga, sharing a meal in the house, joining a spontaneous plan or simply hanging out in the common spaces. Guests often organise dinners, drinks, beach days, road trips and other adventures together, while WhatsApp groups make it easy to see and sign up to the scheduled surf and yoga lessons.
On top of that, our other property Laneez Ericeira Surfhouse is only 10min walking distance and we will have it running with regular bookings, you're welcome to go hang out there and meet other guests!
Our team is around to help, share local knowledge and bring people together, but there's no pressure to participate in everything. Laneez is about creating a friendly, open community where you can meet new people, share experiences and make friends from all over the world, while still having the freedom to enjoy your own space and pace.

How to get here
Property Address: Rua Leandro Santos, Ericeira As the address doesn't have a number, you can insert the property name "SURF VILAS BY LANEEZ ERICEIRA" in the maps to find us. Ericeira is located about 45 minutes from Lisbon Airport by car. The easiest way to get here is by car, taxi, uber or transfer. You can also take a bus from Lisbon to Ericeira, with regular services connecting the city to the village (Carris). The Bus terminal is located at about 20 min walk from the Surf Vilas. You can easily get an uber from there, it will be a quick 5 minute drive.

Yes. During the winter, Surf Vilas operates as a long-term co-living and co-working environment, so guests can enjoy a social atmosphere while still having their own private accommodation.
Do I need to be a surfer?
Not at all! Surfing is a big part of the Laneez experience, but you don't need to surf to stay at Surf Vilas. Ericeira has plenty to offer, whether you're here for work, nature, food, beaches or simply a change of scenery.
Are utilities included?
Yes, electricity, water, heating, Wi-Fi, cleaning and linen are included in the rate
Is breakfast included?
No, unfortunately we don't serve breakfast in the winter co-working season.
What is the cancellation policy?
Our winter bookings follow a firm long-term cancellation policy: full refund is available up to 30 days before check-in. After this period, the first 30 days of the stay are non-refundable.
How far is Surf Vilas from the beach/town centre?
10 min walk to town center and 15 to the nearest beach.
How do I reach further beaches if I don't have a car?
There are plenty of Ubers and Bolts you can take to reach beaches. They do not take surfboards though. We recommend you either rent at the surf spot or rent a veichle (car or motorbike) with surf racks
Can I join Laneez Activities?
Yes, guests at Surf Vilas have access to Laneez surf lessons, equipment, events or community activities.
What is the atmosphere like during winter?
Expect a relaxed, international environment with people staying for several weeks or months, working remotely, surfing and enjoying life in Ericeira. It's social, but guests also have their own private space and independence.
What should I know before booking?
Because this is a 28-night minimum, long-term stay, we recommend making sure the accommodation and dates fit your plans before booking. Please also read the house rules and cancellation conditions carefully before confirming your reservation.
