Just a 15-minute walk from some of the best waves Europe has to offer, and not to forget a 1-minute walk to Alma yoga studio and some great restaurants, here you find Mysa Baleal. A cozy coliving apartment and community.

At Mysa, all bedrooms include an ensuite bathroom, and a desk so you can take work calls in private. You also have your own balcony -perfect for sunset chilling, yoga or working outside. If you want to cook up an after-surf feast, there is a very well-equipped kitchen.

Mysa is a Swedish word that means to have a cozy and relaxing time. When we created our coliving, we thought it was the perfect term for it. A warm and relaxing place where you can unwind after a day of work and amazing waves.

Our remote working community

The great thing about staying in a coliving is the people and the community. We have built a great international community here from all across the world - and like us, many friends are returning, or deciding to settle down a bit more permanently around Peniche.

A laid-back lifestyle, good food, beaches, and of course, surf are all integral parts of life here. And when you're not surfing, there are also lots of other things to do.

Why not join the rest of the crew for sunset yoga on the beach together with our friend and yoga teacher Caro, or maybe you prefer some me time and a yoga session on your own in our free-to-use garage gym? Surf skating is another thing that's very popular here. Rent a board close by, or bring your own.

There are also lots of places around for grabbing a drink, and often live music and sunsets are involved.

The Surf near Peniche, Portugal

When you're talking about surfing in Portugal, you have to mention Peniche. Together with Ericeira, it's one of the top surf towns in Portugal and Europe. What makes Peniche so good for surfing is its typography. The land tongue pointing out in the middle of the Atlantic and the different bays surrounding it, provide for an endless amount of fun beach break waves.

Regardless of where the swell is coming from, there is bound to be a spot around Peniche that will receive it. And if there is wind from one direction there is usually always a place where the wind is creating that perfect offshore surf condition.

Another reason why surfing in Peniche is so good is that regardless of your skill level, there is usually always a very well-suited wave. If you're a big wave hunter, just go to the middle of the bay where the swell rolls in with full force and if you're a beginner, there will be cruisy small waves in the south of the bay.

If you're highly advanced there is also the main reason why the World Surf League keeps on coming back year after year. Wake up and head south of Peniche for a powerful hollow barrel breakfast in SuperTubos.

My GF and I stayed there for 10 days and we enjoyed our stay. Emma and Pepe are awesome hosts, they do their best to make u feel like home, and they organize events and activities with the community in Peniche. The apartment is clean and well equipped, and it is 15 mins walk to the beach were you can surf or enjoy the amazing sunsets there. Btw u can see the sunsets from the apartment as well.

Emma and Pepe have been very nice and welcoming from the first instant! As soon as I arrived I was already invited to many events and parties where I could get to know new people and enjoy my time in Peniche! During my stay I unfortunately hurt my knee and Pepe and Emma took really good care of me providing a lot of assistance! Thank you very much, I would be definitely back! :)

I had an amazing stay at Mysa Baleal. You know you had a good time when you are already planning your return. Emma and Pepe were wonderful hosts, they picked me up at the bus stop, shared their surfboard with me and quickly welcomed me to there community. The house is super clean, bright, with a nice coworking desk. The bedrooms upstairs are super spacious and both have a balcony and desk. It was the perfect place to get work done and relax!

Emma and Pepe were very present, helpful and welcoming hosts. They were available for every need I had during my stay, especially when I was feeling sick. They introduced me very quickly both to the amenities of Baleal and Ferrel, and in the community they have built during their years in Baleal. Before even getting there they provided a very helpful guide with everything needed to enjoy the stay, from how to get to their stay to which restaurants and surf schools to take. The stay was amazing, very modern and clean. I loved the terrace outside to enjoy with privacy just a bit of sun or the summer breeze during the nights. The bathroom was clean and provided with everything you need. The bed was very comfortable. I was able to work comfortably both in my room and in the common table. The kitchen is modern and has every tool you may ask for to do basic cooking. I recommend to everyone to stay at this place for sure.
