At Kanaloa Surf Lodge, we’re co-creating a new kind of co-living for remote workers, one that blends deep focus with meaningful culture. Everyone brings something to the table here, and we all leave better for it. This isn’t Bali or Ericeira where work is an afterthought. This is a space to actually get shit done and still surf, share meals, and connect with the land & culture. We host digital nomads who want more than just a room, people curious about Portuguese life, community living, and surfing with a local guide which is my brother :). Joshua, my partner, came here from America to chase waves and ended up staying when we met. For myself (Sofia), I grew up on this coast (and this very house) and love hosting and guiding people on great experiences . I worked for mother London and led creative ideas on biggest campaigns, My partner runs an organic content marketing agency, and now we’ve rooted ourselves here to share something real.

We don’t force events or crowd your calendar. You do your thing, with others who respect the flow.
This is the place where you actually get sh*t done and connect w/ like-minded people and creating real friendships with Backyard BBQs, Movie nights, Conversations that matter when the laptops close.
And when you’re ready to celebrate a good week of work, Lisbon is just 20 minutes away for a night out or you can keep it coastal with a drink at one of the local beach clubs nearby.
We host guests who share our vibe. They’re here to dig deep into their work during the day heads down, laptops open, flow state on. But they also know how to live: grabbing a sunset surf, booking a table at a local beach club, or hopping into Lisbon for a night out when the week wraps up. This house isn’t about hanging around all day; it’s about balance. Come focused, leave inspired and with a few new friends.

My brother, Vittorio, is a local surf guide who’s been in the water his whole life. He knows every break, every condition, and where to go depending on the day.
If you want to surf, he can pick you up, help you find the right spot, and get you set up with a board or wetsuit.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or already ripping, he’s got you covered from board rentals, beginner lessons, advanced coaching, or even training for competitions, we’ve got you covered.
We don’t push the surf-first lifestyle here. But when the swell lines up and you’ve finished your work, it’s all yours.
We’re lucky to have amazing beaches just 5 minutes away by car. My brother Vittorio has been surfing since he could barely walk, and now with his own surf school, he loves sharing that passion with anyone who wants to give it a try. He’s local through and through, but honestly, he spends most of his life in the water.
Vittorio will pick you up for surf trips explore other epic spots along Portugal’s coast, like Ericeira, Peniche, or the wild Costa Vicentina. He knows all the breaks, all the secret corners
