I live to surf and find Costa Rica the perfect place for this. The beaches here offer waves for everyone. And I work remotely myself from Dos Iguanas several times a year. I surf in the early mornings and late afternoons, allowing me to meet my deadlines in between or in the evening. Starting in late 2023, we began renting out our simple yet beautiful home here for others to enjoy. We hope you like it as much as we do!

Coliving with us in Jacó

My family and I purchased the home in 2022, have been fixing it up, and started renting it out in late 2023. I recommend either motor scooters or a car as we are right in between Nosara to the north and Samara to the south on highway 160.
You can get basic groceries in Garza 3 KM north, before Nosara. Check out the Blue Garza shop. For more groceries, go to the Super Mercado in Nosara.

The house is fairly quiet being off the road. I like the back, second-story deck as it's serene and looks out into the jungle hillside.

To get here, I recommend flying into Liberia, Costa Rica and renting a small car/SUV. (Search for deals on Kayak, etc.) Then make the 2.5 hour drive south through Nicoya to Barco Quebrado. You could fly into the capital, San Jose, and then a separate flight right into Nosara where you can take a tuk tuk to a car rental or even to a closer accomodation.

We will send a precise pin to the house as it can be hard to find, especially at night.

The Surf near Jacó, Costa Rica

The surf in Nosara is world class with reliable waves from 3-6 feet year round. Samara offers even more gentle surf when the waves in Nosara get too big. And there are numerous surf shops, rentals, instructors and photographers in both towns.

What time is check in and out?

Check in is at 3 p.m. and check out is at 11 a.m. in keeping with most establishments.

Do you have air conditioning?

Yes, the two bedrooms upstairs have A/C units. The rest of the house does not.

What amenities does the property offer?

We have two small bedrooms upstairs and a cozy living area downstairs. We also have two lovely covered porches on the second floor of the house, front and back.

Is there anything to do or eat in the immediate area?

Chilling and grilling is what the house is all about. In addition, there are restaurants no more than 5 km in either direction on the main road.

How far are you from the beach?

We are roughly 15-20 minutes from Nosara and 30 minutes from Samara. And Garza is less than 10 minutes north. Also, there are various beaches between the aforementioned surf havens that are even closer and worth a visit.

What else do I need to know about the property?

We don't have TV but do have Wi-Fi. So bring your devices and get connected.

Anything else we must know?

Keep that in mind when booking as Costa Rica is warm to hot year round. As such, the shower is refreshingly cold only. Also, bring some bug spray as we are in the jungle!
