Coliving with us in Hiriketiya

After traveling for 3+ years, I really wanted to find a home base. And then I met Lucky, a local surf instructor in Hiriketiya.
Together, we founded Homebase Hiriketiya. The building is a 2-storey Sri Lankan-style house with 3 shared kitchens, a coworking space, and 7 bedrooms - only a 7-minute walk away from the surf beach ππ»ββοΈ
We have many bars and restaurants within walking distance, but if you want to explore more of Hiriketiya and its surroundings, just contact us for a motorbike rental. Book today to wake up to a wonderful surf, enjoy colorful smoothie bowls before starting your work day with high-speed wifi, and relax with a coconut for sunset in the Homebase Hiriketiya.

Our remote working community
Curry Night
Join us for our communal curry nights. Bring the friends you meet in Hiriketiya and learn how to cook traditional Rice & Curry by no other than our Homebase team: Tharindu, Nilani and Lumal.Together with other guests and friends, you'll choose up to 6 different traditional dishes. If you like, you can also join us for the visit to the Saturday market in the town where we buy the ingredients.

Skill Share
At Skillshare, everyone is welcome to share their knowledge and skill. It's usually a set of 2 speakers, a networking brunch and 2 more speakers. So far, we've had talks about AI, Imposter Syndrome, Freelancing, Burnout, Turning your Passion into a job and more.
Note: During low season (May - October) we only host skillshare events and curry nights if we manage to fill the spots

Our Coworking Space
Join our fellow colivers at the coworking upstairs. We have 6 desk spaces and movable foldable desks that can be placed in your room if you need to (some of our rooms have a desk already).
If you're someone who enjoys working while lounging, you can chill at our sofa or in the bean bags on the pateo upstairs.
Please note: This is a coliving in Sri Lanka. There are things we cannot control, like unplanned power cuts or monkeys biting through the wifi cable. But don't sweat, we will do what we can to get you back online! There are coffeeshops with generators in walking distance. You can work efficiently upstairs at the coworking, where our Router is. If you need more focus time on your own, feel free to work from the garden or your room.
We have batteries that power the router for 4 hours once a power cut has started. When there is an announced power cut, we will let you know so you can make sure your devices are charged.
