Working Remotely in Newquay

Nestled on the north coast of Cornwall, Newquay is a bustling seaside town and the home of British surfing. It is also a great place for working remotely.

Top restaurants, amazing cafes, museums, bars, festivals, a vibrant nightlife, and several coworking spaces to choose from. Sure there are other laidback surf towns in Cornwall. But if you're looking for things to do besides surfing, Newquay is definitely the top pick for a remote work stay.

Surfing in Newquay

Since Newquay is considered the capital of British surfing there are plenty of surf spots around. The most famous is Fistral Beach.

Located a 5 min walk from town Fistral Beach consists of a 600-meter-long beach break sheltered by two headlands. If needed there are several surf schools and rental shops on the beach.

While Fistral Beach is the most popular spot and even hosts competitions, there are as many as 11 Newquay beaches. Some are more sheltered than others. So depending on the swell direction and intensity, there is bound to be a spot where it's pumping.

Getting There

From London to Newquay is about a 5-hour drive. There are also bus, train as well as flights.
