In the tranquil and beautiful neighborhood of La Punta in front of the famous surf break with the same name, you find the super chill Casa del Sol. A 5-minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the Backpacker metropole Montanita.

Here you can relax, surf, do yoga and get your work done in a beautiful setting. And if you want to get your party on, no worries, further down the beach in Montanita there's a different party for every day of the week.

Stay in one of our dorms which actually are more like twin rooms since they consist of 2 rooms connected to each other with a staircase, and only have 2 beds in each room. Or treat yourself to a private room.

Regardless of what you choose, you can be sure that you will have direct access to a very inviting balcony with a hammock overlooking our lush courtyard. Not to mention a different delicious breakfast every morning prepared by our highly skilled and always smiling in-house chef Juanito.

At casa do sol we aim to provide a curated space full of connection, conversation and community. All wrapped in an infinite supply of good energy. We have two common areas specifically designed for socializing, and our bar is usually the place where the people around meet up for an evening chat and a drink.

If you like yoga, you should join us in our on-site bamboo yoga studio. Not sure if you like yoga yet? Then this is the place to give it a try. We are positive you'll love it. Time to brush up your Spanish while in South America? Join our Spanish classes in a private or group setting.

When it's time to head into town for a dinner with the rest of the crew around, just jump on one of our free to borrow bicycles.

At Casa do Sol there are plenty of places where you can get your work done.

In our courtyard, there are lots of tables and high-quality chairs, where you will be able to set up your office for the day in a beautiful setting. Surrounded by lots of greens and with our huge buddha on the side, you will have a very tranquil work atmosphere here.

For something more relaxing we recommend our monkey lounge. Here our digital nomads that are around, usually sit very comfortably on one of several couches. And the view will give you a great overlook of what's going on in the house, at the same time as you're going through those emails.

Want an even cozier setting? Just lay down in one of the many hammocks around.

At the end of the beach in Montanita you find the main surf break, La Punta. This is a peeling point break that can provide long perfect rides and at times even barelling waves. At Casa do Sol we're located just 100 m from this amazing ride.

La Punta is mainly for advanced to intermediate surfers. But if you're a beginner, no problem, there are usually some sweet rides further in closer to the shore. To make the most of this wave, we recommend getting up with the rise of the sun.

Between the town of Montanita and la Punta, you also find the Montanita beach break. This break provides fast rides for the advanced surfer and smooth white water for beginners.

On top of the two above waves, you also have the less busy beach break of Olon, for all levels. Just a few minutes taxi ride away. And if you happened to get a rental car, basically the whole coast will be a huge blue playground. There are a lot of beach breaks around.
