We want you to stay hydrated here at CO WORK SURF, so we're supplying the home with a smoothie bar and we'd like to keep ya inspired. Let's be honest, who doesn't love a good smoothie? start to your morning? yup. mid day pick me up? mmhm. post surf sesh refuel? damn straight. it's 9 pm. Why is it still hot, muggy, and humid outside?! please help!!!! we got you. They are convenient, nutrient dense, filling, and can be made in endless different ways. There is definitely no shortage of fresh, tropical, and vibrant fruits around here, SO, We've created a list of our favorite smoothies using LOCAL fruits + ingredients - some of which can be found right in our front yard... let's get blendin' PS. Straws suck! Plastic straws, that is. Let's save our oceans by using paper or biodegradable straws for our smoothies. Better yet, invest in a reusable bamboo, stainless steel, or glass straw to be the coolest smoothie sippin' stunna! PITAYANANA- Simple, fresh, high in potassium, 40% daily value of B6, cinnamon speeds up metabolism. 2 medium sized bananas 1/2 medium dragon fruit (white or pink) dash of fresh vanilla bean 1/4 cup soya mylk 1/4 cup ice MANGO BLISS- Minimal ingredients but so satisfying. 100% daily value vitamin C, and 60% daily value vitamin A. 1 fresh medium sized mango 1 frozen banana 1 passion fruit, scoop seeds + jelly, discard rind 1/2 cup coconut water 1/4 cup ice THE FRONT YARD- This ones really ideal. Real ideal because you won't have to go more than 20 feet from the kitchen to gather all your supplies - right off the trees they grew on. 1 small papaya (from our front yard) 1 small mango (from our front yard as well) 1/4 cup coconut meat (climb the coconut trees out in the backyard) 1/4 cup coconut milk (or use the coconut water from the cocos) GREEN GODDESS- Avocado will make your smoothie incredibly smooth... what a concept! Natures Butter. High in healthy fats! Seriously, you've got to try this combo. 1 small/medium avocado 1 medium dragon fruit (white or pink) 1/4 cup soya milk 1/2 cup ice ORANGE JULIA!- 100% daily value of vitamin C, good for booting immune system and clearing up skin. Vanilla bean is a natural aphrodisiac. 2 frozen small bananas 1 large orange dash vanilla bean 1/4 cup coconut milk 1/4 cup ice LIME AVOCADO! - Tangy & sweet. High in Vitamins K, A as well as potassium. The natural fats in avocados will fill you up and keep you full for longer. 1 frozen banana 1/2 small avocado 1/2 cup almond mylk 1/2 fresh lime juice TROPICAL DAZE - Sweet & tropical. Both papaya and pineapple are amazing for digestion and work together to fight against stored fat in your body. 1/2 fresh medium papaya 1/2 cup pineapple dash of vanilla bean 1/4 cup coconut water 1/4 cup ice QUEEN GREEN- The greens + turmeric is a health kick combo! Turmeric is anti inflammatory, and can easily be found here. Apple and greens are high in fiber. Well balanced smoothie, perfect for any day, anytime. Loaded with vitamins and nutrients. 1 frozen banana large handful of fresh greens 1 medium apple 1/2 medium dragon fruit (white or pink) small knob fresh turmeric 1/4 cup coconut milk 1/4 cup ice A SMELLY SMOOTHIE- Unique & filling. Have you had durian fruit before? You either love it or you hate it. Tastes like creamy vanilla custard, smells like.... well, you let us know. 2 pods of fresh local durian 1 small banana 1/4 cup soya milk 1/4 cup ice FRESH GREENS + CACAO- Hydrating + earthy - Get your daily greens in with spinach, kale, and spirulina. Cacao paired with banana will mask the taste of the greens! A green smoothie that will fill you up and hydrate your cells. Good before a workout. 1 frozen banana 1/2 apple handful spinach handful kale tablespoon spirulina tablespoon cacao 1/4 cup coconut water WILD BERRY- Tart & sweet. Packed with antioxidants, fiber, manganese, B vitamins, and folic acid. Cacao, coffee, and dates all serve as appetite suppressants, which make this a good morning start to satisfy you until lunch. 1 frozen banana tablespoon cacao 5 medjool dates 1 shot of espresso 1/4 cup almond mylk 1/4 cup ice VANILLA BEE POLLEN- Balanced & mild - not overly sweet, and lower in sugar - this smoothie is a good go-to for those who want something a little more earthy. Bee pollen is richer in proteins than any animal source.
